At the Desk of Olivia

Here at Home Office we pride ourselves on our creative workspaces. Just like the clothes we wear, our desks can reveal certain details about our personalities. The mementos, trinkets, and pictures show others who we are and what we love. Whether you think of your workspace as a place of inspiration or motivation (or maybe a bit of both) it becomes our own little place to call home here at the Navy Yard.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your background! How long have you been with URBN; what do you do here?

I'm Olivia from the Free People Brand Marketing team! I've been at URBN since 2017 and oversee Influencer, Affiliate and Campaign strategies. Before Free People, I was on the Web Merchandising and Digital Marketing teams at J.Crew. I graduated from Syracuse University in 2012 (Go Orange!) where I studied Fashion Design and Communications.

How long have you sat at this desk?

Since April 2019!

What's your favorite detail or moment on your desk? Is there a story behind it?

I created a backsplash collage of photos I've collected from my travels. Sometimes, if I find myself staring at my computer for too long, I give my eyes a break and take a quick trip to my favorite places (most of which are by the ocean, which is why my desk has a rather blue theme).

How does your desk represent who you are?

It's tranquil and serene, but also productive and efficient. The photos at my desk represent what I value most in life: the people + animals I love, nature and travel.

Any parting thoughts you'd like to share?

Your desk is an extension of you, make it awesome.
