On Friday, April 22, people across the world took action to recognize Earth Day by focusing on the environment. URBN employees did their part by participating in week-long events and activities, ranging from an Instagram contest to clothing recycling.
The week culminated in URBN employees rolling up their sleeves to get dirty during a Sustainable Living and DIY Seed Bomb Brown Bag workshop. Local sustainability expert, writer and speaker, Julie Hancher, of Green Philly Blog led the workshop, focusing on easy environmental changes anyone can make, how to take advantage of local resources and ways to reduce your carbon footprint. Employees also created their own“seed bombs” that they could plant at home.
